The CPF was set up as a national scheme to encourage members to get involved and make their voices heard. The National CPF is chaired by Oliver Letwin, Minister for Government Policy and all feedback from these discussions get directly sent to the HQ where we can influence the 2015 Manifesto pledges.
Here at EUCF we believe that this is a fantastic way for people to really affect the future direction of the party and we will be having at least one discussion meeting every month.
By getting involved in EUCF’s CPF you can think through the challenges that the UK faces both at the moment and those that we will have to deal with in the future. These cover a huge, diverse variety of issues including (but not exclusive to):
We will also be having discussions on topics such as why did the Conservatives not gain a majority in the 2010 general election and what can we do to change this by 2015 as well as topical issues such as the European Union and the extent of our involvement with them as a country. We do not have to just discuss the topics sent down by the National CPF and we can also come up with our own topics so if you have any ideas that you think the Tories should be considering then please do not hesitate to contact our Vice Chairman on natalie.cox@exetercf.co.uk.
One of the best aspects of the setting up of the CPF is that we will always get a response from the relevant Minister. All your views are kept completely anonymous and get submitted from “EUCF” as an organisation but we will always show you the response when we get it – so you know that your views really are being taken into consideration!
To get involved, join our FaceBook group and you will be kept up to date with the latest meeting dates and times – it’s free to all our members so just turn up and it is as simple as that.
